The Art...
The themes in Chris’ work are quite varied. They are sometimes profound and poetic - themes that are often not translatable into words. Many of his images deal with the ideas of time, distress, decay, and aging - the evaporative power of art. Frequently the pieces, have no definitive preparatory vision, and will develop themselves once the paint touches the canvas.
Artist’s statement: “I would describe my work as a carefully balanced and colorful abstract depiction of distressed emotion that doesn’t give itself away at first viewing. The longer the work is hanging on the wall, the more the content is revealed.”
Chris has many works in private collections along the US west coast.
